Starting Pitching Crisis!!!

Bowman- Soroka revealed no problems after he was cleared to begin throwing again. The Braves will build him back up before clearing him to begin throwing off a mound.

Remember Gohara was supposed to be in the rotation. How many starts did he make. Then his replacement (Anibal) went down for a while with an injury.

McCarthy is another guy who went down.

Teheran had a stint on the DL. Fried had issues with blisters that cost him starts. Soroka got injured.

No team has no injuries. But the Braves' really didn't have that many bad ones. The difference makers stayed remarkably healthy.

The ones at the MLB level were relatively inconsequential for the most part - especially when most people were a bit surprised with how aggressive they were in pushing Allard and Soroka since they weren't likely on lots of radars for the big club prior to the season.

When you look at last season organization-wide, we were quite fortunate. That's the main reason I wasn't against overpaying with arms a little bit in a couple potential trades that could've been made - there's no way the organization overall gets as lucky with healthy arms as it did in 2018.
 
I'm waiting for the front office spin that this is the reason we held on to all of our pitching prospects.
 
I have it on in the background at work and didn’t hear any details. He didnt show any signs as what it could be. So I have no other info. Maybe someone else who was listening better could shed better light.
 
They are calling it shoulder tightness for Minter....plus Swanson was scratched because his surgically repaired wrist is hurting

What crisis?

Fried is going to be a TOR arm this year....

Will learn to pitch on three days rest and end up with a 15 fWAR season.
