Kiley: Soroka is 92-95 touching a 96 thru 2 IP. 3 K, 3 GB, faced the minimum. Breaker and CH both look as good as I’ve seen them before, he looks very crisp.

Austin Riley has gone deep in both ABs so far. Got the second one open side on the high speed camera 

AJ Graffanino got pulled in the middle of the season opener and hasn’t played since. Hope it’s not a serious injury.

Now Jenista pulled in the middle of the game.

When the rotation is Folty, Gaus, Soroka, and whomever of Wright, Fried, Newk and Teheran is going well, folks will understand why getting a SP was never really a big need.
Agree with this. The pen....well...I felt a big piece should have been added.

Never thought getting a SP was a big priority.

Bats and bullpen, thats another story.

I think a better question at this point is can the SP leftovers make a good enough transition to the bullpen to fill it out effectively without adding an external piece. My hope is that we can put together a solid 5 to 6 man rotation and have a couple of the other guys serve bullpen roles while they fine tune their craft. Transitioning Newk to a bullpen role could be really beneficial down the road this season.
