Economics Thread

Real quiet....rememver those stories about trump crashing the economy or that the tax cuts were a sugar rush?

I’m directly having a the tariff tax passed on to me for a huge purchase I made recently

So happy that trump is looking out for me

The fed had turned accommodative which is shameful and these deficits are hard to justify

I think the idea is to get people off entitlements in as great of numbers as possible so when the cuts happen they are easy to justify but unless the dems playball there is no reducing expenditures.

I don’t mind taxes

I mind a ****ty piece of **** “businessman” who is awful at his job making me pay more for something

What's worse is that despite the data telling them it's bad, they simply ignore it.

The party of science, after all.

But I think it more sinister as they hurt people intentionally in order to increase the people's need for government help, thus increasing their power

They also intentionally divide the population along race/class/gender for the same reasons. Existential threat to peace and prosperity.

Amazing what happens when you have a pro-business administration.

This thread remains pretty empty. The left cannot discuss economics coherently and thus just rant and rave with their emotions about the scary orange man

Or it's pretty empty because discussing economics is boring as **** and all based around which side's opinions on what we do with fake money will create more value from said fake money.

I’d say it could be because there’s no topic, no matter how thoughtful, that doesn’t turn into GAAAHSOCIALISMVENEZUELA

The whole point is why would we destroy what is being created currently?

Do you think movement towards a more socialistic structure would grow the economy?

Do you think it will hurt the economy? How are countries like Canada and Germany doing? Everyone points to Venezuela or other small countries, but they ignore big boys that have remained successful. France, Japan, so many other countries spend a lot of money on social expenditures.

And the scaling means nothing to you?

Also, how are their economies doing in relation to the US now that we have an actual pro business administration?
