I think it's weird that Luke Jackson is good after literally no one else in baseball wanting him, but I'm happy to take the L on that one.

After looking into it a little more, I also conclude the Braves will not lose any pick ever if they wait to sign Kimbrel after the draft.

I can't remember where that tidbit about losing a pick in the 2020 draft was pulled from, but it appears to be wrong.
 
If that rumor did indeed come from "AA's mouthpiece", then maybe we have no interest in signing AA... put out an excuse rumor as to why

Luke Jackson has been a trackman darling for a while now, which is why the Braves stuck with him for so long despite the struggles.

He may be the next diamond in the rough uncovered by modern pitcher evaluation.

I remember when that rumor came up it seemed legit enough to take seriously. I just can't remember enough to find it with the search.
