The DNC propaganda wing is doing everything it can to help shield the fact that their beloved representative is an idiot.

WASHINGTON — When John Barrasso, a Republican from oil and uranium-rich Wyoming who has spent years blocking climate change legislation, introduced a bill this year to promote nuclear energy, he added a twist: a desire to tackle global warming.

.@AOC's tour de force on the Green New Deal is a case study in how to shift the Overton window.

y'all might wanna look up Bernie Kerik before posting his rants -- no matter how impressive it might look

some of us remember him

I support infrastructure spending as long as it leverages as many private contractors as possible. There is return on that investment not only in jobs but also in fixing needed supporting systems for our country.

We have to get out of the middle east in the worst way.

Shouldn't be stealing from future generations to pay for things.

That's theft.

I get it but you also have to recognize that we need to spend money on Americas infrastrcuture whoch will benefit our children.

The spend is 2T but there is return resulting from jobs (tax and spend back in the market). Dont get wrapped up in the 2T number. This is actually an investment that has return. I dont think its dollar for dollar but other benefits will come of this.

Why isn't that the argument for all government spending?

Because there will be private enterprise involved in this. How else fo you propose infrastructure get maintained and created?

State and local governments and private businesses

Trump has done some good things with the economy but his spending is out of control. And his call for more rate cuts back to the Obama years is reckless and short sighted

But the spend for any infrastructure is always from a governmental agency as they own all the infrastructure.

I dont know the menusha but id imagine any infrastructure that is isolated to an individual state will be considered in state appropriations from the federal government.

I agree on the second part but the most important thing is to ensure that growth is strong.

The government is not in the road-building business. A vast majority of the revenue raised to support any infrastructure program will go to private contractors. Some revenue might go to city and county public works departments to repair existing streets, but those folks don't rebuild bridges or roads.

sturg, how do you propose private industries fund the transportation network?

I'm surprised you, someone who claims to be against foreign intervention, you're really backing the Pentagon and White House giving power to someone who is dubious at best?

Second one is certainly conspiracy theory territory. But it's the kind of **** Trumpers buy on the reg. So I'm hoping it will stick there.

Here's a hint, oil barons wants to destabilize Venezuela and then companies like BP and their ilk will move in and capitalize on the now public Venezuelan Oil.

allow me to answer my on question.
My curiosity took me ...

Greg Palast on the Jimmy Dore Show. What is really behind the US coup in Venezuela - the Koch Brothers' oil-refining profits. This is important information in the argument against US interference in Venezuelan politics. We learn that the Kochs are behind not only the proposed invasion of Venezuela but also behind the Excel pipeline - proposed solely to deliver tar-sands oil to Koch refineries on the Texas gulf.

I am a slow learner but here goes.
Where ever sturg goes, Koch Industries has laid the path

Leads too, to Koch toleration of Trump
