#Braves recalled Sean Newcomb from Triple-A Gwinnett and optioned Touki Toussaint to Gwinnett.

We all get "the shuttle", but if Bryse isn't going to be part of it, make him a weapon out of the pen and quit blowing games.

It’s pretty clear you don’t get it.

Wilson pitched at the MLB level on 4/26, and then was sent to AAA where he started on the 30th. He is being used as depth in exactly the same way.

Machado with two homers tonight vs. the Dodgers. Joe Kelly just gave up 3 R, 3 ER, 3 H and a BB in 0.1 IP in the 6th.

Because I didn't specify the date he could become part of the pen?

You're right, I had no clue Pitchers couldn't be shuttled daily.

Running out of people to nit-pick and *itch at again?

further evidence spending big money on relievers can be dangerous

You haven’t even been paying attention to the pen lately

I just looked at Philly's schedule, and my goodness is their May freaking brutal. They've got 6 vs the Cards, 3 against the Royals, 7 against the Brewers, 3 against the Rockies, 4 against the Cubs, and 3 against the Dodgers from now until June 2nd. Their June is much easier by comparison.

I was looking at that and was pretty happy about it, then I looked at ours and realized that it was almost as bad.

If we all get "the shuttle" why start a thought about it. I think you just watch games as opposed to observing them.

Ours isnt much easier.

Mitch Garver has been a huge revelation for the Minnesota Twins. He is batting .367 with 7 home runs. The Twins' troika of catchers (Garver, Castro, Astudillo) lead the majors in catching WAR.

Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. is off to a very cold start in Toronto, batting just .162 with a 27% K%, which is more than double any rate he's ever posted in the Minor Leagues.

Nationals rookie OF Victor Robles is proving to be a great "event" producer, with 6 home runs and 8 stolen bases, but his BABIP and high K% indicate he is due for some regression at the dish.

Oakland 1B Matt Olson was activated off the IL yesterday and went 0-3.

A trio of sluggers are having what appear to be breakout campaigns: Josh Bell, Franmil Reyes, and Jorge Soler. The trio have hit a combined 27 home runs. Reyes has trimmed his K%, Bell is hitting the ball harder than ever, and Soler has finally found health and consistent playing time.

Atlanta's Mike Soroka has a 2.25 FIP and is striking out batters at a clip of 10.27 per 9 IP. Meanwhile in San Diego, rookie Chris Paddack
has posted a 2.33 FIP while striking out 10.18 per 9 and has only issued 2.21 BB/9. These two young pitchers are having two of the best seasons in the Major Leagues.
