Enough data has been gathered now in 2019 for the Sprint Speed leader boards to be posted:
https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/sprint_speed_leaderboard
Speed grades are roughly...
Grade 80 = 30 ft/s
Grade 70 = 29 ft/s
Grade 60 = 28 ft/s
Grade 50 = 27 ft/s
Grade 40 = 26 ft/s
Grade 30 = 25 ft/s
Grade 20 = 24 ft/s
Info on Braves players (389 MLB players on the list):
#21 Acuna 29.2
#41 Swanson 28.7
#62 Albies 28.4
#95 Culberson 28.0
#261 Inciarte 26.3
#274 Markakis 26.2
#280 Freeman 26.1
#288 Joyce 26.0
#293 Donaldson 25.9
#299 Camargo 25.8
#333 Flowers 25.3
#389 McCann 22.4
While the Braves don't have an 80 grade burner, they have 3 young guys with 65/70 grade speed.
Culberson is a nice all-around bench piece, and Grade 60 speed is another thing he offers.
Inciarte is down from 27.9 in 2018, and 27.2 in 2017. He is currently the slowest CF in MLB. It seems like something is physically wrong with him.
It's odd to realize Camargo is as slow as catchers and aging sluggers.
Mac is, in fact, the slowest MLB player this year...
