He almost had to be injured. He’s just lost his stuff. It literally all looks bad.

Folty changed his slider movement because his elbow barked and he's diversifying how he pitches to try to get around that and his fastball being a tick slower. Problem is his sinker stinks and there's really only 1 way he's shown that he can succeed in his career, and it's with his fastball getting in zone whiffs so teams can't guess on the slider. It all comes together.

He might be healthy right now, but I'd rather he use the 2018 slider and risk injury...maybe stupid take, but I'd rather good results and risk with pitchers then mediocre results all year.

He's getting close to the point where we'd have to call him up IMO. Riley in left and Acuna in center is likely a pretty big downgrade defensively, but it might just be worth it...
