Had to

The Twins and Cardinals each recently DFA'd Addison Reed and Luke Gregerson, I don't even want to see their xwOBA numbers but I'd take a chance on anyone over Parsons and Venters.

Hard to agree with someone any more.

Here's the article from the Minneapolis StarTribune on Reed's release: http://www.startribune.com/addison-reed-s-tenure-with-twins-appears-over/510028042/. Big contract so I don't imagine anyone will pick him up until the financial responsibility remains with the Twins.

Fangraphs now has the Braves winning the division in a very tight race. They still think the Nats are the better team the rest of the season but have put themselves in too much of a hole to make it up. Of course anything can happen but as long as the Nats continue to play crap baseball I like our chances against the Phillies.

When folty inevitably rights the ship the Braves are going to cruise.

Would you guys trade Folty right now? The Padres are looking for a front line starter and I would love to get my hands on Mackenzie Gore.

Don't want to step on Freshmakers 3-0 run for starting GDTs.

Sunday game has Camargo in LF hitting 6th, Riley at 3rd.hitting 5th.

Josh Bell is hitting .333 with 14 homers. What in the world? Lol.

Also, Byron Buxton appears to have broken out. Great to see.

The wins against the Dbacks, Cards, and Brewers have been very helpful. Wins against the teams you are fighting for a playoff spot with are more valuable. It is a form of sequencing luck. We had some of the same last year against the NL East.

It has also been helpful that our little surge has coincided with the metropolitans doing a fade job. The losses to the Marlins (1 hitter last night!) have been especially painful.

It is like the Mutts bogieing an easy par 5 while the rest of the field makes bridie or eagle.
