GDT 5/22/19 Braves @ Giants

Acuña’s play in CF compared to struggling some and looking lost at times in LF is perplexing, maybe he just likes to play CF more or maybe he has just improved at a rapid rate.

So you’re a fan of him leaping to catch balls 10’ in front of the wall that he should be standing under?

This is why fan eye test for defense is useless.

Lets not forget in addition to the homer and walk Riley hit another rocket for an out. Guy is locked in right now and its a joy to watch.

Just like in the minors he is going to struggle and it probably won't look good for a while but he has earned the right to finish out the season starting 90+% of the remaining games. We should not be seeing Ender much at all before the 8th inning for the rest of the season.

Bravse are currently have the last WC spot to themselves. Looks a lot better than the state the Braves were in after the LA series.

How many major leaguers can hit 95+ that isn't center cut?

Sounds like a hefty bar we are setting to show who was 'right' about Riley.

I’m not sure what else Riley can do. He’s pretty much doing the same in the pros as AAA. I feel for Ender because he’s a gold glover, but I don’t know how you don’t have Riley in the line-up every night. He makes a really good line-up into a great one.

Scary thing is that as young as he is....he has improved EVERY year. What will be look like at 24 years old??

correct. good hitters consistently hit the bad pitches and even the good ones will struggle with perfect 95+ MPH pitches.
good pitchers make bad pitches at times and good hitters hit them.

Soroka and Fried have GB% of 56.5% and 55.7% respectively, which rank 5th and 6th in the league (min. 40 IP).
