.@AOC to military contractor exec:

I could have covered the insulin costs of a community of

21,400 people for the cost of your price-gouging. I could have sent 21 kids

to college. I could have sent 18 toddlers to free preschool for a year.

Why should we give you another dime?

Think of how many kids we could have sent to college with all the money we spent on the Mueller probe that turned out bogus.

You are putting country first, and that is to be commended.

We both took an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution. Please let me know

if you are interested signing on to the resolution to begin the investigation into impeachment.

they should be looking for Republicans to partner with...but I'm not sure that sort of invitation or dare on twitter is the way to go

He was expected to do about 23% so thats 6% better than anticipated. Its pretty hard to lose with a strong economy. I certainly wont bet against Trump now that Democrats are going to give him a layup by nominating Biden.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Wednesday that Facebook’s refusal to take down an altered video of her shows that the company’s leaders were active contributors to online disinforrmation and “willing enablers" of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Pelosi’s comments to KQED News, her first public response to the video since it began spreading online last week, revealed a dramatic escalation of tensions between the Democratic leader and the world’s most popular social network.

“We have said all along, poor Facebook, they were unwittingly exploited by the Russians. I think wittingly, because right now they are putting up something that they know is false. I think it’s wrong,” she said, according to KQED. “I can take it ... But [Facebook is] lying to the public.”

interesting take by Nancy on FB as a witting collaborator

Why is FB obligated to take it down?

I don't think they are obligated to do so. They have a business model that is legal and has served them well. So far. It is up to them to make the call on whether to regulate content.

If you go to the reader comments sections of various news organizations, they each have their own policy. And it really should be up to them. WSJ, WaPo, NYTimes all have different policies on posting comments. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Just different. Some are more troll friendly, which can be an amusing side benefit.
