Tigers game 2

Soroka got bit by the bad luck bug that inning. Infield single to the pitcher, 2 runs driven in on a hit where the guy didn’t even know he made contact he was fooled so badly.

There's your first "episode" of the season that sinkerballing pitchers will get at times. Of course it was soft singles to no man's land that did in the streak instead of loud hits.

Was there ever an explanation of soroka's shoulder injury last season? Was it an actual injury or just something that freaked the FO out?

It was a strain in the muscle at the back of his right shoulder. It’s the one responsible for decelerating the arm and keeping it from flying out of the socket. The same issue cropped at least twice.

Folks like to argue over the semantics of “injured”, but there was an issue.

The Braves handled it about as well as anyone could expect.
