This is a legit hard decision with this Soroka PA. I lean towards leaving him in for 1 more inning.

I would have pinch hit. Webb, Newk and Jackson are all rested.

Not that Donaldson is killing it right now....but how many 3rd basemen are better...not many...at all. He will heat up at some point also.

I will say he could benefit from a few days off here and there.

There are quite a few 3B playing better. Not that it matters that much as Josh is still earning his contract. Just not exceeding it like I had hoped.

Yeah, but the point is he can heat up at any time. A cold Donaldson is still better than most. I just think he needs more days off and we have two great options to rest him any time.

Tough choice. 3 run lead makes the PA less important. I like a tiring Soroka vs RHH a third time better than any option in the BP.
Newk needs to face the top of the lineup though.

I agree. When he gets hot he is one of the best hitters around. Hopefully we get that soon.

Avg EV. Consistent hard contact is the name of the game.

Riley had an Avg EV of 94 entering today and that would tie him for 4th with Gary Sanchez if he qualified for it.
