It's standard macroeconomics that fiscal policy should be loosened during times of economic slack (high unemployment) and tightened during times when the economy is operating near full capacity (low unemployment).

since you don't think i was ever critical of Obama and you think i think he was a god

i don't see how what i say matters on Obamas policy that is getting a false equivalency to what is happening now. much less i have yet to find any evidence of President Obama using old Japanese interment camp spots to rip children away from families etc

i don't like any president following in the steps of japanese interment camps ftr

edit: still overall a false equivalency to what both administrations are doing at the border in regards to children and breaking families apart etc

It actually speaks to the motives of the outraged party and proves they dont actually care about the injustice.

I think that when you just go the “but Obama” route, you tend to elide a lot of salient facts. There was a large influx of unaccompanied minors in the Obama administration. There was not a policy of separating migrant families and sending them to different detention facilities. Whatever you think of Obama immigration policy—and it’s among the most criticized aspects of his tenure on the left—that’s a material difference that you can’t hand-wave away with whataboutism.

Also, Obama’s immigration policy may not be perfect.

But at least he showed some compassion by enacting DACA and increasing the amount of Syrian refugees the US committed to bringing over even though politically it probably wasn’t very popular.

Far cry from what 45 has done wasting national emergencies and sending troops to the border for no reason other than political theater.
