Come on guy, you’re smarter than this. The Nats aren’t sellers, and they won’t make that decision for about another month. The Giants aren’t even selling yet, so folks thinking the Nats will now are morons.

The “kill shot” cliche was a bit of premature stromanation.

Yeah, probably too early to call that, but make no mistake, they are definitely closer to sellers than buyers today than Friday night

I’m not hoping for anything. The fact is they are 3.5 games out of a WC spot, and are a very talented team that just ran into another very talented team.

I get it. The same mental deficiencies that cause you to lose all hope and become suicidal when the Braves go down 3-0 in the 1st inning also makes you feel the need to puff your chest out when the Braves won a series against another division contender. Same with the silliness of referring to the Braves as “we”.

The limitations of your intellect won’t make the Nats become sellers on June 23rd though. You’re just being a silly little fanboi. Go drink another Bud and enjoy the win.

3.5 games out of the WC and they have the best pitcher alive to pitch during the 1 game playoff.

As long as they have a shot at the WC I don’t see them selling.

8.5 games back sure is nice though. It affords the Braves the opportunity to go 3-7 and still maintain a good lead in the division.
 
With the two wild cards it keeps any half decent team in it. In the NL only the Giants and Marlins are really out. There are a few more teams in the AL. I think trade talks won’t heat up until late. I really hope we don’t need a starting pitcher. If Gausmsn or Folty could find a way to get right and come back for us it would be huge.
 
Certainly dont see the Nats selling with the new WC rules.

As long as they stay within 4-5 games of that, they arent selling.
