Here's a question - aside from Jesus coming back, could there be a more significant event to happen to the world than 100% confirmation that an alien race exists?

Well, OTHER myths could be true that would have much more of an impact than Jesus coming back. But outside far-fetched nonsense? One or two things, I am sure. Knowing aliens exist and making contact will be two incredibly different things, for example.

Watching the active members number drop by about 60 in 2-3 days. I was trying to figure out why, but then I remembered that an Active Member is someone that has logged in, in the last 30 days/1 month. That would put it right on Game 4 of the NLDS. So I guess it's more of a barometer on weeding out the fairweather fans who haven't cared about the Braves in about a month lol.

You've got really smart folks on this site and some really good writers. Maybe some articles would help. Why not see if some are willing to write some articles about the Bravos. There are some noticeable absences. What happened to Meta?

They're on strike waiting for their pay. Stupid unions.

I'd be down to write some articles. I have a degree for this stuff. A degree I'm doing nothing with currently.

An in-depth examination of Heyward's love for baseball (or lack thereof) may do wonders for this site.

We can discuss pay later.

finding an alien race wouldn't be that surprising to me

it makes no sense that space is that big and we are the only planet etc

So, it wouldn't be significant because anyone with a half a brain knows that the chances of alien life existing far outweigh the chances that it doesn't? That's what you're saying?

He actually used the word surprising. It would not surprise me if we discovered alien life tomorrow. But it would damn sure be significant. That is my opinion, and that is how I took what he said. For what it is worth.

That's what he said. But, it seems like he was inferring that it wouldn't be significant, since that was the question he was responding to.

I think the first alien life discovery is going to be boring. It will be some microscopic organism or something.

I think the most significant event to happen would be a huge meteor hitting the Earth. Now that would be something.

exactly

i am not 100% sure how significant i would put it in ranking either

because I am guessing i would actually be more scared of what was going to happen cause i am guessing they found us more than us finding them

finding a cure to cancer would be the most significant thing to me

I worked at Smoothie King for 6-7 months when I was 19, and I've been going there recently to use a smoothie as a meal replacement. I finally decided it was a waste of money to spend almost $6 per smoothie, so I finally went out and got a professional grade blender, and it helps that I still remember all of the recipes of the favorite smoothies I had.

Sucks they just lost a daily regular, but good for me I can save tons of money now. :Alone:
