GDT 7/27 THE RETURN OF MAXIMUM DUVALL....

They're a couple of starting pitchers away from contending for the division. That could be as easy as taking on Greinke's deal and one FA. I don't think they need to tear anything down yet.

The Phillies currently have 1 bench player on their roster hitting above .200

Can't remember a game in which three grand slams by the other team would still leave them with a one run deficit.

I wish the Braves wore these jerseys more often. Coolest jerseys ever.

In the pregame, they said the Phillies had only worn this uniform once before--1979 in a blowout loss to the Expos. After tonight, it'll be another 40 years before they trot them out again (if ever).

Even with 2 better SP's, they still need 3-4 bench players, a 2B, 3B, another outfielder, bullpen help, and 2 more SP's. They have alot of holes, their farm is barren, money can only get you so much.

I want to trust Fried in a playoff series so badly but i jist cant. Next year will be his year.

Duvall is the perfect guy to have stashed in AAA. I think as long as he plays...he will hit. Not sold on him as a bench guy.

I agree. Duvall has been starting all year and that’s what he needs to be doing. I think he can help and go on a Riley like tear.

Pull Fried after one more inning? Maybe let him DH.

Thinking the same thing. Have yourself an evening, Mr. Fried.

His results on the mound are up and down but I love the energy and attitude he brings both as a pitcher and batter.
