GDT: Braves at Phillies 7-5-13 Hudson Pushed Back a day

Approaching Buddy Hernandez Territory
This can become the game thread once the lineups are out but I thought I would start it, to let everyone know, Hudson has been pushed back until tomorrow. Paul Maholm now gets the start tonight. No reason given.

Maybe Fredi wants Hudson to have a chance at not losing his next start. Lee has been great again this season and Hudson stands no chance against him.

It wouldn't let me go back into my original post and add the lineup so here it goes:
Braves
Andrelton Simmons SS
Jason Heyward RF
Justin Upton LF
Freddie Freeman 1B
Chris Johnson 3B
Dan Uggla 2B
Unforunately BJ Upton CF
Gerald Laird C
Paul Maholm P

I will see the first few innings, but thankfully I don't have to watch Lee dominate the Braves all night. Going to the Sky Sox game tonight against the Reno Aces. Rockies AAA affiliate hosting Diamondbacks.

The Braves have had some good games against Lee.

8/29/09 - 5 IP, 10 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 0 BB, 5 SO - Won 9-1
4/8/11 - 3 1/3 IP, 10 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO - Won 6-3
5/6/11 - 7 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 16 SO - Won 5-0

2 of those games were at Citizens Bank. It's about time for the Braves to have another good game against Lee.

Philadelphia Phillies:
1. 3B: Michael Young
2. 2B: Chase Utley
3. SS: Jimmy Rollins
4. 1B: Ryan Howard
5. LF: Domonic Brown
6. RF: Delmon Young
7. CF: Ben Revere
8. C: Humberto Quintero
9. SP: Cliff Lee

Ugh, I hate watching us against Lee.

Honestly, we've got a lot of movies on the DVR...so I may take this opportunity to build a little good will with the wife and just keep up with the game on my phone. In other news...I'm not a man.

W/o being asked, Hudson said there's no basis to @pgammo's recent tweet that said Hudson has told former teammates he thinks he'll be traded

Hudson denies claim.

I'd also like to point out the difficulty in trading Tim. He's got 10-5 rights, so he can veto any trade.

our lineup, such that it is, is still better than theirs. By a wide margin, IMO. But Lee has been a hot pitcher so I'll try not to watch. We're not hitting worse pitchers.

Maybe they'll surprise me tonight. Anything below 10 K's will surprise me, my bar is low.

It'd be crazy to trade Hudson befor e we know wht we've got this year with Beachy. Next year's another story entirely; one of the vet starters doesn't need to be resigned.

Gammons just trolling for hits, probably.

Young has done pretty well in the lead off spot too. I'd take Revere over our center fielder though.

Over one hour before the first pitch this GDT is longer than yestersays complete GDT from the other forum.

I disagree. Both lineups are about equal right now. If our guys were hitting (namely the Upton's) then yeah the Braves lineup would be better by a wide margin. But that's not the case.

I think we're basically saying the same thing. We have a better lineup, but some of our guys are not anywhere's close to where they should be.
