Nice numbers this year, but he's been pretty awful for the rest of his careers. Still giving up a ton of home runs. Kind of betting on a guy having a career year at age 33.

He's 6'8, which is pretty cool.

He's a rental. Has a contract that specifies free agency after this season.

Very low walk rate this year and last.

Allard is a good get for a rental.

I'm glad AA got this done before the Clocks ran out tomorrow. League office must've approved this deal faster than the Speed of Sound. AA really out here picking up names we weren't even talking about, discovering them gems like The Scientist he is. Can't wait until the deadline tomorrow to be over cause the rush of blood to the head tomorrow is not gonna be pleasant at 3:59pm. One more piece to help us get to Paradise in October.

I just went to BRef to see his contract status. So you're prob right.

Bref is saying that he's dealing with back stiffness. Will physical check out? Good trade though if he's good to go. I Like the low BB rate.

Lot of people saying he’s a FA after this year. I’m not an Allard guy at all, but that seems rich to give up for two months of a reliever.

FG has him as signed to a $4M deal over 2 years, 1.113 years of service time and a FA in 2020.

Pretty sure that FA date is wrong, but it’s an odd career arc.
