2020 Field

Fully expect the same people denigrating the nomination process ( of 20 candidates being eligible for debate stage ) will clamor for more candidates on the ballot come general election.

These days should be 3rd party heaven

Count me as not one of those calling for (D) to not attack each other because:

a) that is nothing more than the media Survivor narrative

b) they all have the same goals just different method of getting there. A debate that is worthwhile
It is not like they all don't see universal health care or they all don't accept climate science or they all don't agree on coice or they all don't recognize virtually the same global threats etc etc etc etc

c) they are all seeking the same prize --- why would they not try to show they are the better candidate ?

..........................................

I liken this to the first round of pro sport playoffs we all understand. My favorite week of NFL playoffs is first round of playoffs. The week where underdogs have nothing to lose and are willing to do and try anything. By the time we get to conference championship week the field is narrowed to 4.
Why don't the 3rd partyers call for 4 or five teams in the Super Bowl or World Series ?

Curious our Tulsi Gabbard fans ( or any of the 20ish) -- how much they have donated to the criteria that would keep her viable and on the debate stage ?
If your answer is naught then please don't act the fool come general election time
..............

NYTimes upped their estimate of debate eligible (D) for September from 7 to 8.

Bill De Balsio for example is in effect a 3rd party candidate.
I thought he, like all of the candidates , had his/their moments

A debate by nature will lead to attacks as the candidates reveal inconsistencies/holes in others positions.

Should Kamala Harris' actions as a prosecutor not be discussed?

They should. It’s not like trump and the GOP will hold back.

The radical leftist candidates are just mad that some centrists exist in the party and are calling them out on the same **** the GOP does.

These are pie in the sky proposals that will never pass and the economy is doing so well why radically change anything? Just so the remaining 5% of Americans can get health insurance? They should just get jobs.

a) for those with the means and ancestry to invest- yes others - not so much
and even for those that it is working for, things have this ugly side of not staying the sameI hate to drag that trope out again about 10' of water

b) yes those "5%" but also the people with health insurance dealing with catastrophic disease that is financially eating them alive
co pays and deductibles. Read up on the number of people needlessly going bankrupt. To my mind one is too many
Those with for instance diabetes that have to pay exorbitant prices for insulin. Children with allergies and the price of epi-pins. Just two examples

c) your points are narrow and short sighted

To your point on centrists.
Actually Senators Sanders and Warren's proposals are polling over 50% which I was taught in school constitutes political "centrists"

Not when its explained how much it will cosy and how much taxes will increase.

Wages have been increasing at an excellent rate for the last 2 years. Anyone that has a 401k is benefitting. Anyone with a pension that had unfunded liabilities is benefitting.

Thise 5% can get jobs. Plenty of them out there.

There are billiobs of peoplr worldwide who dont have healthcare. Why not think about them?

so what?

Sen Sanders made the comment to a fellow debater that tried to say "he didnt understand the health care business"
His response was " that is the point, it is not a business"

Tell me how much my taxes will go up should there be universal health care
Kinda like the min wage discussion where McD would have to raise the price of Big Macs $0.07

Tell me how we transfer the exorbitant co pays, deductibles and premiums into a collective bank to finance health care for all Americans
to remind you, my mail was delivered yesterday without incident
..................................

Tell me how much we as a society will save via lower hospital fees due to financing "emergency room health care."
I don't think you have researched or looked beyond the surface arguments on this topic one iota outside of ((AG Conservative)) , Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh talking points.

Who are only mouth pieces for the health insurance industry.
Kinda like the NRA and weapons.

No, not kinda like, parallel. =

People are debate fatigued. The GOP had like 20 debates in 2016. Hillary and Obama had like 20 debates as well.

Don't think people are so ready to jump back into debate watching yet when it's not even that close to 2020 yet.

But twice as many people watched the first one

Lol at saying it's the right who hasn't done the math and research

Even the centrist candidates at the Democratic debate are calling the progressive healthcare plans disasters economically. Its all fake promises to pander to a vulnerable population. This is what the left does and will always do.

Yes. Because it was the first one in a long time.

How many people check out the first episode of a new season for a tv show then the drop of viewership for the second one is big. Happens all the time.

Keep thinking what you want to think though.

and while (D) candidates discuss, agree and disagree with one another on the best method of assuring ALL people get health care --
agree and disagree with on another on the best methods of addressing the environment--
the (R) candidate ---

In an hour Trump leaves for another taxpayer-funded golf vacation

to his resort in New Jersey. He’s wasted hundreds of millions of tax dollars

on this nonsense. Republicans can never viably talk about fiscal responsibility

ever again. They are all accomplices to this corruption.

.......................

and be clear, virtually every (D) has the same goal
health care for all

and (R) ?
cant wait to hear their proposals and discussions
Is there a discussion in the GOP on health care ?
Pre existing condidtions ?

Allen Grayson said on the floor of the House "yes, they have a plan --- don't get sick"

Trump says we’ll be curing AIDS and childhood cancer soon.

His administration cut $1 billion from global AIDS initiatives and

proposed a $900M budget cut to the National Cancer Institute.

so ---- tell me more about the irredeemable rift where insurance industry (D) disagrees with MFA (D) on how to create access to HC for all Americans

Hey if you’re in Dayton, just a swift reminder that the president of the

United States was golfing when your city had a mass shooting and just

referred to the city you live in as Toledo. Just tuck that in your pocket

for when it comes time to vote again

Trump had one job: read a script off a Teleprompter & pretend to care about racism.

That's it. He said Toledo instead of Dayton. Just pause and reflect. That means the entire

Administration couldn't even give a single F to get the city right.

The writers, editors, Trump. No one.

this to keep an eye on.Provided she reaches the debate threshold
