Why didn't shootings like this happen 30 years ago when weapons were more easily accessible?
You are focusing on the wrong things because of your partisan politics.
I first got on board with the broad notion of gun control after Lee Harvey Oswald purchased his rifle through the mail
Within 2 months in 1968 2 political figures were gunned down
A psychopath went to the top of the Univ of Texas picking off people. 1966 I think
Gerald Ford was attacked with guns twice in his short time in office.
After Ronald Reagan was shot we got the Brady Bill
All of those examples are over 30 years ago.
Columbine was in the late 90's as well
I remember in the 90's a mass shooting in a restaurant in San Diego and I am sure if you took the time to read up this isn;t something new to American culture
Suicides due to guns --- take a look at that. And how ...
Just look at that.
You know, if you take poison or try hanging yourself there is a chance you can be found and saved.
Taking poison is a process that required many steps before you pull the proverbial trigger. Make the effort to buy, prepare the poison, find a time and pace to take the poison.
did you know that a high percentage of suicide attempts via poison are unsuccessful?
To hang oneself one must acquire the rope tie the knot, find a support--- it has been found that an interference to an attempted suicide is most often preventative
But going in a closet or drawer and pulling out a weapon, perhaps loading it takes all of seconds
The availability of guns create a phenomena referred to as impulse suicide
It is irreversible
You should read information related to case histories rather than NRA propaganda
