I think it was Ender who last incurred the wrath of Snit for not running out a popup that fell.
 
I hope Acuña handles the punishment well. He has enough vets on this team to mentor him. I do remember reports that when he didn’t make the team out of spring training last season that he pouted for a week or so in the minors. Hopefully that won’t be the case here. Albies seems more mature and will help with this possibly.

But absolutely the right call to pull him. Who knows, it may have been addressed verbally before on a “long single” and this was just the next step up in punishment.
