Chip is a big dummy but not trash. He is very entertaining with his silliness. Not sure if folks think his job is easy or a dry analytical voice would be better. For me I like the corny wit mixed with the bad takes at time. He doesn’t whine or bitch either I find tha a plus. Folks should go listen to the cards radio broadcast or even our radio broadcast if you want boring baseball commentary.

My thoughts exactly ... and he grew up with Uncles Ernie and Pete... and not to mention his paternal lineage ...
 
Yeah Chip's not his father and certainly not his grandfather, but I like him. I think one (or two?) of his sons broadcast as well. Would be cool to see the tradition continue
