GDT 8-27 Canadian Bacon !!!

Can't count on 1-4 hitters for very much lately.

Tonight, Braves 2-10 w/RISP. 1 of the hits didn't score a run. Last night, 1-12 and that hit didn't score a run.

Acuna is 6 for last 33. Ozzie 4-last 35. Freddie is 6-28. Donaldson is 5-31.
 
Offense suffering from poor performance and a bit of bad luck.

As always, a team isn’t as good as it’s 8-0 streak, and isn’t as bad as it’s current rough patch.

The sooner folks realize this the sooner they stop having melt downs after losses.
 
So many games in a row and 3 cities in 3 days is getting to the guys. That 8 game win streak may end up saving the day for this team.

One thing we know is that the first 4 hitters are all dam good and they will bust out at some point.

We knew about this schedule for months. Preventative measures could have been take. To get some guys some rest. The big four will still have their big games and even a few mini stretches that look good. But you can tell the grind is wearing on them. We saw this last year and it was mentioned in the off season that it can’t happen again. Yeah it happened.

Snit is too afraid to lose one game that he won’t rest key players. Look at the leaders in at bats. Acuna is second. Ozzie is tied for 3rd and FF is 11th. That is a failure. You don’t see a dodger, yankee or Astro until 23rd.
 
The rest of the schedule has 5 off days. So at this point the issue of resting players is moot. Might as well play the big 4 every game the rest of the way in. Maybe give them a few games off at the end if we clinch.

It would have made sense to rest someone the 3rd game of the Mets series (day game after a night game) and the Colorado game. But then we would have potentially missed out on Donaldson hitting two home runs against the Mets.

I agree it is moot. The damage is done and a day off here and there for the remainder of the season won’t change anything. I used to travel as primary work and it is not easy. Especially for dads

I regret to inform that I’ve been transferred from the ten- to sixty-day posting IL with an acute case of erratic phlegmatism. Neither round of therapeutic phlebotomy was able to balance my humours, and Dr James Andrews has proscribed consumption of all wet and cold foods as I hope to rehabilitate in time for Spring Training.
