What is to be gained by the president pretending that Alabama was in the path of the hurricane? Did he just make a mistake and double down when corrected rather than say oops? I didn’t follow the story

Yes, he was just referencing outdated information because he has the attention span of a 3 year old and refuses to admit it.

Aggressively stupid people are the worst kind of stupid people since they absolutely refuse to admit they were wrong and learn anything new. He is literally ignorant about most things, yet aggressively defends his ignorant stances on almost every issue...it started from Day 1 with the "largest inaugural crowd ever" comments that resulted in the creation of "alternative facts", and has continued ever since.

And of course the media is going to relentlessly bash him over the head with it for days, making it 100x more of an issue than it actually is. The leader of the free world regularly engages in Twitter feuds with anyone of any amount of celebrity because he simply can't stand when folks don't concede to his self proclaimed greatness.

I actually feel most sorry for people like Conway and Spicer and Huck-Sanders whose job it is to come out and publicly defend this absurdity. It must be very hard to put your self respect on the line like that in exchange for a piece of the power pie...which is why the turnover in the WH is so high.

i'm laying in bed, watching netflix drinking a glass of water while commenting but

if those that are commenting about the president on day 3 of lying about this are unhinged

i can't wait for your break down on the actual president still going on about this lie etc

i was gonna say it isn't a crisis but since he broke the law also while doing this, i guess you could add it to the long list of inaction by republicans that choose party over country and thus is a crisis
