Big trade was made today. Ryan LaMarre was traded to the Twins for cash considerations. Kinda wish we saw him instead of Ortega... he's had more MLB success than Ortega and also had a great year at AAA.

I thought trades were done with

Day off for anyone? Maybe? Ever?

It really doesn’t make sense at this point with the division secured, a tough right hander on the mound, and an early game on a travel day. Seems like an ideal day to rest Donaldson, Albies or Acuna.

At this point I am not convinced Snit is going to rest guys after we clinch.

I know Snitker is a players manager, so when they tell him they want to play every day then he listens. But where a players manager has value is when he knows how to get his players to buy in to doing something they don’t want to do.

Does Ronald need some time off before Freddie, Ozzie, or Josh??

His stats are on a steady decline over the last 30 games except for Ks which are going up. 5 Ks in last 3 games with 43 in last 30 games. Avg has dropped from .248 in last 30 games to .167 in last 7. 10 HRs in last 30 games but only 3 in last 15 games.

Slumps happen but this is a prolonged slump.

The K’s are worrisome, but he’s also just been unlucky when he is hitting the ball. Also, 3 homers in 15 games is a 32 homerun pace over a full season.

The only reason I would be concerned is if he’s injured, which I don’t think he is. All the same, he is definitely someone that needs to be rested a lot the upcoming weeks.

Ortega plays because of all the RH starting pitching we face. LaMarre is really in competition with Riley and Duvall on the depth chart.
