Am I wrong to think we'd use both Joyce and Markakis vs righties?


Nick Markakis (wrist) could be activated from the injured list as soon as Friday.

Markakis will take live batting practice on Wednesday before returning this weekend if all goes well. He has been on the shelf since late July because of a fractured left wrist. Markakis was batting .284/.358/.429 with nine homers in 104 games prior to the injury.

Joyce is a better version of Markakis so...

obviously, you know what i think of ortega starting right? That said, if Ender was healthy and sharp I'd favor him over Markakis and still have Joyce in against righties as he's got on base in all his starts but a few. He has a .891 OPS too.

Joyce is basically Markakis with more power to hit home runs. Both shouldn't start vs lefties.

Still wish AA added a RH bat to play vs LHP. I dont love our LHP lineup.

yea, I like Duvall vs lefties but we still need one more lefty masher and Riley might not be ready to step up. And Snit refuses to sit Markakis against them too.

See, all Acuna needed to bust out of his slump was to be moved to the lead off slot!

Oh wait, he was slumping while in the lead off slot...so confusing.
