Julion is divisive in part because he has a long track record of outperforming his peripherals. Against the Cards I prefer Julion as 4th starter and Folty as long man.
Who would you start game one vs the Cardinals? Soroka is better on the road but I'd have to start him.
Actually I'm on the fence right now between Soroka, Fried and Keuchel for game 1. Depends on how they do in their next start. Right now I lean slightly toward Soroka.
To me it's pointless to look at a players stats vs a team. Teheran could have faced the Cardinals 3 years ago when they had a totally different lineup. It's always going to be small sample size, but at least look at his matchups vs current Cardinals players.

Soroka starts for me unless we see signs of fatigue effecting him.
I'd look especially at the results against Goldscmidt and Ozuna, who have spent most of their careers with other teams.
Teheran holds the former to a OPS under .500 and Ozuna is the hitter in the Cardinals line-up that hits Teheran hard. However, Teheran K'd held him to 0-3 with 2 K's and two walks this year.
How do those two do against Folty.
Cubs may overtake the Cardinals if they keep blowing 9th inning leads like they did today.
Folty also holds Goldy to an OPS under .500, though Goldy is 2-6 against him this year. Ozuna hits Folty but not as hard as Teheran, .790 OPS. It is mostly solo homers as Ozuna only hits .200 for average against him. Folty's issue vs the Cardinals is more Molina and Wong along with the homerun ball.
Cubs and Cards face 7 more times, 4 next weekend in Wrigley and 3 in Busch to end the year.
I think the Cards hang on but it'll be interesting, Cubs are starting to hit as of late.
Julion owns Molina. Something to consider.
Anthony Rizzo joins Javy Baez and Yelich on the list of September deaths, sounds like.
