No suicides for 21 years at the prison he was at.

When are Barr and Trump going to be held accountable for this? Guaranteed if Obama and Holder were in office and this happened under their watch we'd never hear the end of it.

There's still a lot that needs to come out about this. Was this the result of overworked guards? Was someone paid not to check on Epstein? Was someone ordered to stay away from his cell?

I don't want blame assigned at this point. Pointing fingers provides cover for what really could be going on.

Just boggles my.mind.

Taken off suicide watch, a high profile suspect like this should have had 24/7 monitoring.

If Trump wants to retweet conspiracy theories about Clinton then he should have demanded someone never leave Epstein's side.
 
Since we now find that Epstein was buying women's panties while in prison, I have to ask.... Did they ever say what he used to hang himself?

Overworked guards???

This was a rather high profile prisoner who was in the national news daily, who btw had already tried to commit suicide once. His supervision had to have been monitored by the very top of the prison, and that person being monitored by the very top of the NY Justice dept with that person being closely watched and following orders from Barr. I don't believe he could've been taken off suicide watch without Barr knowing about it. Is the Justice Dept that inept?

I know that I’m in the minority but I have no problem with MIT taking Epstein’s money for research and I don’t think someone should automatically be fired for having opinions no matter how offensive and misguided. I wish we could compartmentalizations more and realize that flawed people can have talents and make contributions. Of course I compartmentalize everything.

I would be concerned about the public relations aspect of it. For me the key would be if anyone was at risk because they worked for me.

I just feel that if something is good and worthwhile it is irrelevant who contributes to it or does work for it.

Sure...I've gone on business trips to countries that are almost entirely Muslim and will soon be doing a 5 week gig in one of them...Arabs have a reputation for hospitality and in my experience it is well deserved

On a slightly more serious note I have discussed Arab marriage mores with some of my acquaintances in those countries and it is something many of them are embarrassed about. They tell me things are changing. Let's hope.

Just checked the marriage laws of the country I will going to next month. Legal age for marriage is 18 for both men and women, subject to a waiver from a judge.

Varies from country to country. The long-time ruler of one Arab country is widely known to be gay and no one seems to care. Not too different from the Catholic church which recently had a pope who was probably gay.
