no one could have predicted that the lifelong failure-monkey

who ran six casinos into the ground and ran an airline into the ground

and ran a football league into the ground and ran a magazine into the ground

would eventually run his presidency straight into the ****ing ground

and why do we only get yet another clearly edited, slanted memo? of course, what they released is bad enough. but let's see the rest of it. let's see the complaint. it's certainly worse than this already-bad, edited memo.

just a matter of time

Several Senate Republicans I've spoken with in the last hour are

stunned that the WH is releasing this transcript. They do not think

it helps the president's cause.

And they expect today's Senate GOP lunch to be quite the get-together.

I would suggest the following to the GOP. Go to the President,

arrange a resignation....and similar to Ford, Pence pardons Trump.

The fight then becomes to keep control of Senate.

The States then go after Trump and he becomes the first ex-Pres

to go to the Big House

You would need a certain number of GOP senators (probably 5-10) to tell him he has lost their support. Imo the senators most likely to do this are the ones who have been around a while and those not planning on running for re-election. I'm keeping an eye on Lamar Alexander. He's not the type to put out a press release. But he would quietly inform the White House the gig is up.

Specifically asks him to investigate Biden. Starts out saying how good the US has been to Ukraine and then says it has not been reciprocated. That's when he starts to bring up Biden. Ukraine President agreed to meet with Rudy and open up an investigation. Reads to me like Ukraine President was trying to blow it off...

*goes back and reads sturg and thethe posts in last two days to see similarities*

LOL. Running with the “no quid-pro-quo” talking point is really weak. It’s just moving the goalposts, insisting that what’s clearly implicit through context on multiple fronts must be explicit and memorialized in this document, or it’s invalid. And it skates right by the fact that in this conversation with another world leader, the President’s comments are all about his own interests, not the interests of the country.

what's also very interesting is how well-briefed Zelensky is in terms of adopting a strategy pandering to Trump's vanity and not making any sort of appeal to considerations of national interest

What I also don’t get about the Crenshaw take is that if Trump’s in the clear because he’s not recorded specifically offering Ukraine’s President a quid-pro-quo, why is it that Biden’s in such hot water for his son taking a sketchy job? Jeez, wait’ll he hears about the Trump family.

That was one of the most notable things about it to me. He flatters him, agrees with everything, mentions staying at his hotel. Wild.
