I just crunched all the numbers, and it turns out that if we win today then we'll win the series.

Even with a lefty on the mound, the Cards going with Carpenter over Bader.

Are you sure?
I think today our bats are the key. I don't know if 3 late runs can win it today, so yeah, let's wake up. If we go to game 5, it will all be very complicated vs Flaherty again.
Don't get me wrong, I'm confident our pitching can hold them to no more than 3-4 runs, but you never know. Melancon probably is not available today, and even if he is, well, it's not a lock: he didn't have any easy innings so far.
I read in other posts that you think DK should go for 11 batters and then see, but I sincerely hope he goes 5 or 6 innings, if he gets some run support.
We went through the wall yesterday, now we just have to take that final step to end the curse...
It feels like this would be the game the bats finally put together some big innings. Start of this series has been dominated by pitching, but I've got a feeling today is a game that could take a lot of runs to win. Sure would be nice to finally have a game where we the bats just put up some crooked numbers and early.
Anyone have a scouting report on how legit Cardinals starter is? ERA looks good but is this guy really that good?
Hudson is good but he's hittable, both teams are really due to breakout offensively. With the exception of Game 1 in the 9th, neither team has gotten going offensively, pitching has been tremendous both ways.

What percent does Fangraphs give us with a W?
