Postseason balls different from the juiced regular season balls?

Really felt like some of the pitches we hit at Busch were balls that just die in a place like Chavez Ravine.

I don't know about screwed, but dodgers and braves were the better HR teams this season compared to their opponent. The twins hit more than Yankees, but only by 1.

Could be the homer in me but there were like 5 balls hit by the Braves I thought were gone off the bat. Most ended up as outs or didn't lead to runs. Goldy had one in the first game that's likely gone but I can't remember any other than that for them.

Goldy in the first inning of game three. That’s it.

Changing the balls like this adversely effects the team with the most power more. So, yeah, we kind of got screwed, but that doesn’t excuse the poor hitting by the middle of the order. It just means that those issues may not have mattered because if those balls go out we probably blow the Cardinals out in at least two games.

It doesn't excuse the ****ty hitting from the middle of our order. But if Hech's flyout either goes out or is a double or Acuna's double in the 9th is a homer then we win game 4 imo.

Using 2019 data Acuna's 'single' in game 1 had an exit velocity of 96.6 mph and launch angle of 33 degrees. That combo was a homerun 23% of the time and with it being down the line I think that's a clear homer if they didn't change the baseball.

I was wondering if someone was going to say something. I thought the same thing. I saw multiple balls which I thought for sure they were homers off the bat fall feet short of the wall. Someone would need to actually map the balls but I saw 6 to 7 on thew braves end. I saw 2-3 on the cards end fall short.

Both teams played with the same ball so I wont say this cost us the series like the stupid start times which IMO helped the pitchers and hurt the hitters alot as well.

The playoffs mean nothing if the game is changed for the playoffs like that. I don't care what ball they use as long as it's the same ones the whole season.

i don't think you can have the playoffs use different balls than the regular season. seems it would hurt the home run hitting team.

There are always special balls for the postseason. They have the round of the playoffs imprinted on them. It would be an easy change, if sneaky. At least we can cut Acuna a little slack for thinking his double was a homer.

Wouldn't this affect the pitchers to some extent as well? I know probably not as much, but the action they get. I remember Soroka noting that he had to relearn to throw pitches with the MLB ball last year because the action was different.
