DeRosa for Manager? (Discussion not rumor)

Didn’t want to be click bait but I was discussing moving on from Snit in my Tomahawk Talk FB group (might want to recruit there for new members) and one of the guys brought up bringing in DeRosa. The comp I was making to our current team was that he we are like the Warriors and Snit is our Mark Jackson. If we want to win championships we need to find our Steve Kerr. DeRosa was always one of my favorite Braves and I think he’d be great running the team. I wanted to get everyone else’s thoughts.

I guess my immediate question is what is it that makes you feel like he would be a good manager?

Young has a great personality and a very high baseball IQ. Spending time at MLB network provides him with a more analytical view of the game. He’s also a former productive big league player and a former Brave. I think he would really be a great breath of fresh air to the organization

It's an interesting choice. I recently read an article about Aaron Boone and immediately found out what makes him so successful in NY. It's all about having a personality that relates to the players and allows him to manage a clubhouse while also embracing the modern game.

Having seen DeRo's trade proposals and opinions on MLB network I'd go with a hard pass.

If we're gonna go with a former Brave then I'd see what Mark Kotsay brings to the table.
