The Trump Presidency

Thethe: trump is ending wars and bringing troops home

Actually: trump, we actually will lie that no troops are in Syria and they almost get killed by turkey while doing nothing to help our allies and he announces he’s sending troops to Saudi Arabia

Lol

I hate this. All the troops should be brought home and let the cavemen destroy themselves.

They are different circumstances but they are outlined as such:

"You won't get your money unless you do xyz"

"Do me a favor, look into xyz and you'll get your military aid"

What Biden did was consistent with our foreign policy. A bipartisan group of senators, the EU, and IMF all wanted the prosecutor fired because he was obstructing corruption investigations. The Burisma investigation had been dead for a year at this point.

Trump on the other hand specifically mentioned the Bidens which does not serve our foreign policy goal of the country. He has been told by his aides and anyone who isn't a partisan hack that this was a debunked claim and he pushed it anyways. That's going to be key. Any legitimate concern about corruption goes out the window when they asked for a public announcement that the Bidens were being investigated. That serves no purpose but to smear Biden. Any competent corrupt person would have asked for a private investigation so as to not appear like a political hit job. Then if there actually is evidence of wrongdoing they could being charges and it would be legit. Beyond that the DoD already certified that "the" Ukraine had taken sufficient steps to combat corruption which was a requirement for the aid to have been granted in the first place.

Your arguments only work in a setting where you can get away with outright lying. In a court trial they wont be able to make baseless accusations and propaganda without being called out by the judge.

henceforth sturg will be known as the xyz poster...that post summarizes everything that he is as a poster

Enacting bipartisan foreign policy with support from international stakeholders = acting on conspiracy theories and overt, to say nothing of corrupt, political action.

ethnic cleansing happening at the direct hand of trump to allies that helped us fight isis

i don't have the vocab to express how disappointed in this country and its so called leader i am right now

watch Northern Syria very carefully...this has the potential to get a lot worse and to turn unexpectedly

I have in mind a scenario in which chosen one turns on Turkey...he is dumb and desperate enough to think that will solve his problems

Interestingly Scaramucci and Cohen have so far been the only ones of the people close to him to emphatically break with him. Omarosa too. The heavyweights like Kelly, Tillerson and Mattis have just slunk away.

I think there's some legitimate conflict of interest which gives their conscience cover. Attacking the President is also felt as attacking their own allegiance to the country. But it could be argued that Trump has very little really allegiance to the country.

the other part is a lot of people who get conned prefer to not say anything about it

occam's razor will tell us that partisans are gonna partisan

Amash really does deserve a lot of credit for rising above the partisanship. At a time when support for impeachment was much lower in the polls. And he's paid a short-term political price for it.
