Economics Thread

I remember a time where Julio said all the gains in the economy were irrelevant because wages weren't going up.

Well?

"Had not exceeded 3% in nearly a decade"

Man, I wonder if there was some major economic event that occurred a decade ago that still had lingering effects on the economy the first few years.

That's in any one particular month.

Plus, if obama didnt regulate like he did he would have enjoyed a more successful administration instead of the worst recovery in history.

So, they are still coming to nyc

Sans all the corporate welfare

With less than 10% of the jobs.

Can you be this obtuse?

I feel like this is not a good argument in favor of tax incentives for companies but rather a good argument that cities/states shouldn’t be offering them at all. If the playing field was level, companies wouldn’t be able to force cities to offer the benefits.

Says the facts.

AOC is dangerous to the health of our nation. Communism must be destroyed in all avenues.

You mean like the socialist government bailout of farmers that was caused by Trump in the 1st place? Or is socialism only ok when Trump supports it?

We are in a war with a communist state. Our citizens shouldn't suffer. It's a good move.

We will crush china as long as a hapless Dem doesn't win.

The amount of benefit to the host geography so much outweighs any concessions it's not even worth discussing.

I cant for the life of me understand why these arguments are being made.

Glad 1500 jobs came to NY. Would have been better to have 25k

So communism must be destroyed in all avenues unless Trump decrees it. Just admit it.

This is foolish. We need to destroy China government. The administration needs the people's support and if they suffer as a result of a just cause that makes it harder.

Trump has been as much of a free market president as we've had in decades.

To not understand the existential threat China presents to the world is well....dumb.

But hey....let's ignore the booming economy created by this administration's policies.

Abracadabra I guess....

I’d love to see the empirical evidence of this.

I’d love to see the empirical evidence of this.

Payroll taxes
Consumer spending power
Surrounding business activity benefits
Property values for homeowners

Should I go on?

What's your evidence that the host geography doesn't benefit?

The economic growth under Trump is almost identical to Obama's second term. You guys said Obama's economic policy was going to turn the recession into a depression. Pbama took over during the housing/banking crisis in January 2009 and the economy started growing in June 2009 and never stopped. After almost 90 straight months of growth trending upward your boy gets elected and you think he is hot **** for continuing the same growth trend and give Obama no credit? That's bullcrap.

Still avoiding the question. So I'll ask again. Socialism is ok as long as it's Trump that's pushing it?
