If the Angels are serious about competing in a hurry, they ought to call Boston and offer Jo Adell for Price and Benintendi, then sign Donaldson and Ryu. J-Up would be off the books by the time Benintendi becomes a free-agent, and a Price, Otani, Ryu, Heaney rotation wouldn't be too bad especially if Price and Ryu are healthy. A Benintendi, Simmons, Trout, Donaldson, J-Up top 5 ought to score plenty of runs.
 
I've long thought the Angels needed multiple pitchers to feel out a rather weak rotation and not just one dominant guy. Ryu/Bumgarner, Bumgarner/Keuchel and Donaldson/Rendon (though they likely won't have enough for Anthony) would be a great get for them.

yeah that's a horrible deal. Jo Adell is worth way more.

the Angels aren't run super well but i'll go out on a limb and say no way in hell they trade Adell. that guy is an absolute stud.

Wut?

Benintendi is like a 2-3 WAR player and Price has negative value. That's almost as terrible idea as your Ozzie for Castro idea. It's almost like you want people to make fun of you.

Who exactly have the Padres developed? Other than signing terrible FA contracts, SD isn’t known for much.
