Anybody know anything about this account? Just ran across it today.
I'd trade Greene for a pick.

Suspicious account seems suspicious, but logic of post seems logical.
Unless we use his money toward something more relevant and significant (KB or Arenado), I'd soon rather keep him and just have a deep and solid pen.
The 2018 draft didn't even get a year in before it looked trashy. That's bad.
It's been only a year. Also, you miss the players I listed?
Vodnik is a top 15 prospect. CJ Alexander, Greyson Jenista, and Trey Harris are top 25 prospects right now too. Justin Dean honestly should be as well, consdering he's a good defender in CF and offensively is showing a good hit tool so far with very good plate discipline. I'm guessing his size is the big red flag keeping him off prospect lists.
I'd trade Greene for a pick.

AJC article with AA comments about losing JD. Says that JD and his agent gave us every opportunity to match the deal, but in the end, AA had a number he was willing to not go past

This! I don't want to just give him away. Picks in baseball aren't valuable enough for me. I think we could get a good player back packaging him with other guys.
2000 - Adam Wainright
2000 - Scott Thorman
2001 - Josh Burrus
2001 - McCay McBride
2002 - Jeff Francouer (Mac was 2nd round)
2005 - Joey Devine
2006 - Cody Johnson
2007 - Heywood
2009 - Mike Minor
2010 - Matt Lipka
2011 - Gilmartin
2012 - Lucas Sims
2013 - Hursh
2015 - Soroka
2015 - Allard
2016 - Ian Anderson
Now I Know you said first pick, not just first round. But this is all I could find in 3 minutes.
Agreed. I wonder if the Cubs would take him as part of the package heading back to them for KB....in that kind of deal, it's more of a salary swap, but they get an addition to strengthen their pen.

Teenager c2c was uncontrollably excited at the notion of Joey Devine closing games for us the same year we drafted him.
I don’t think I hated anyone or anything as much as I hated Chris Reitsma and Dan Kolb closing games for us.

The Cubs need BP and OF help. I'd offer Inciarte, Greene, Riley and Wilson for Bryant
We have a stacked bullpen and an overflow of outfielders....But i'd think we'd have to do better on the deal there...
Cubs get: Inciarte, Greene, Riley, Wright
Braves get: Bryant and maybe a comp pick
Inciarte plus Greene would be more money than Bryant makes next season and Bryant is a legit cleanup hitter with power. Inciarte is a gold glove CF but light with the bat. Greene coming off a great year with Detroit.
Acuna CF
Albies 2B
Freeman 1B
Bryant 3B
Ozuna LF
d'Arnaud C
Markakis/Duvall RF
Swanson SS
Culberson, Camargo, Duvall/Markakis, Flowers, Hech
Soroka, Hamels, Freid, Folty, Hernandez/Touki/Newk
Smith, Melancon, Martin, Jackson, O'day, Newk, Webb, Minter
That would be a hell of a team
