2020 Field

What are the odds that Biden drops out at the convention after Sanders concedes and they give it to someone else. Mayor Pete is gonna be the one me thinks. His strong early start and much broader appeal to indies will warm up some of the Never Biden crowd.

Heh, Clinton and Obama have entered the betting odds. Odds makers in Vegas must have some insight on what's about to happen with the Biden Campaign I think .

Michelle. Tracking very far behind, but honestly it would be wild seeing her take over for Biden, get to see the real ugliness of the right.

Yep.

One thing to have a mixed intelligent black guy up there.

It's another to have a successful black woman up there who would run circles with Trump lol.

I dont really understand what people think makes Michelle a good candidate or someone who would even want to do it. I think theres a better chance of Republicans/Democrats agreeing to change the constitutional limit to 3 terms if Trump wins re-election to get the ultimate political grudge match Barack Obama vs Donald Trump. Can only imagine how insane Trump would be by that point.

Yeah I saw a good article explaining why Trump couldnt do this but my question isnt can he legally do it, my question is who will stop him?

Biden looked slightly competent at the latest debate. He would have to be a historically bad candidate imo to not win at this point. This virus has kind of reversed Trumps position from 2016. You know he would be politicizing this to death if he wasnt the incumbent.

Was is irresponsible to hold primaries yesterday? I didn't follow any stories (if there were any) about precautions taken, so I'm ignorant on this. I know a state or two were cancelled. Just seems tone deaf to have people leave their homes to come vote when the messaging coming from every direction is stay in your homes and avoid people. Why weren't these all postponed?

These are exceedingly tough calls. Elections are the holiest of holies in our system. It does raise awareness of the desirability of being able to hold them in a way that doesn't require long lines.

If Bernie was a true man for the people, he'd drop out. He has virtually no shot now and as pointed out, these primaries are only drawing people into crowds that they should be avoiding. And we know it's only old people that primarily vote anyways.

If Biden cared about the people getting him elected he would drop out.
