We only blame the person in charge of the executive branch when they're Dems.

I'm sure the CDC hasn't done a press conference since March 8th because "they suck", not because they have orders from the white house so the white house can try and control the message.
 
If thethe's conspiracy theories about China are true and they set this off as a bio attack to slow down the rest of the world, it is brilliant because they could not have had a better President in the Oval Office to handle the crisis on this side of the ocean the way they would have dreamed of.

Just to be clear, AFTER Trump banned travel for China, Democratic leaders called it racist and ALSO said in defiance of the fear new yorks should come out in waves to be at China New Year celebration.

So we have a country where Orange guy says something... hes racist and we will celebrate to show how not racist we are. And then when things break out, it was Trumps fault for not taking it seriously.

Per usual, I'm not absolving Trump from blame but to act as if he could wave his hand to stop this thing is literal insanity. The few actions he DID take were immediately criticized and mocked.

Just to check in on this, when thethe wrote it NY was at ~500 dead total? We are now at 600+ per day. Lombardy, the worst hit part of Italy, has already had ~.1% of its whole population die. Let's see how NY compares:

I understand the Math. I know that this isn't gonna last forever. But flattening the curve is key. Because then we'll really be killing a lot of people because we'll be forced to make life and death choices on who to save and let die, like Italy has. That's the reason this is going on, because we're attempting to limit the spread of the virus for now and also to bide some time for researchers to figure out a vaccine.
