I think they should just do a 32 team single elimination tournament. 32 teams tournament could be done in less than 6 weeks so they could start it around the traditional time playoffs would have started. Lot less games would hurt the bottom line but I think the ratings would be off the charts as just about every team has a chance.

That too. Just kind of seemed weird having the finals be with a team that lost in round 1 and/or to have them play another game if the loses bracket team won against the winners bracket team. I think ratings would be off the charts. Every game is a playoff game.
Zito is essentially arguing for double elimination bracket that's use in e-sports fighting games. All it takes is for some team to go on a hot streak after 1 loss.
