Let's Talk About Media

Media intentionally lies to the people. Yet it still has defenders.

"AS OPPOSED TO FOX NEWS WHO..."

If you can find a media source that has a perfect track record please let me know. I think RT and Al-jazera do some of the best reporting even if there are issues with their reporting regarding Russia or the Middle East.

Media doesnt have a good track record. That's the point of this thread. We have to reject it in order to fix it.

I agree with you on RT

I think accusing cajun of being a leftist shill is more damning for you than him, sturg.

He used to be pretty libertarian but trump has broken him. You missed that turn. Hell hes been pimping Obama now for a couple years out of Trump defiance.

Hes also a Bernie supporter lol

cajun has been anti-establishment against both parties for a very long time whereas you have literally remained unchanged in which side you criticized even as the Republican Party drove headlong into Toontown. I know which one seems more objective from my position.

The right went into toontown?

Really?

I don't see how thethe and sturg haven't realized this.

cajun understands Trump is 100x the threat to our republic and institutions than they've ever made Obama out to be.

sturg will call Trump a buffoon every chance he gets to look objective, but only tolerates Trump because of tax cuts.

I think I was more than fair to Trump. That he has proven to be incompetent and corrupt beyond what I could possibly have imagined is what "broke" me. I would be surprised if even the people here who voted for Hillary even expected this level of incompetence and corruption. It is unfathomable to me that you and thethe cant or wont see it.

As for Obama, I was/am doing that as a parody of thethe's pimping of Trump. You always seem to have a visceral reaction to it. Almost like you have some kind of derangement syndrome related to Obama.

As for Bernie, I have been super clear about what my priorities are as a voter. At the top of that list is legalizing marijuana and ending the war on drugs/massively reforming policing and the criminal justice system. Beyond that I am very anti-war. Probably why I have supported Ron Paul, Bernie, and Warren. I dont agree with Bernie's cuckoo for cocoa puffs economics but reality is little if any of that would ever see the light of day even with a Democrat Super majority in Congress. I see Bernie as the best chance to achieve the Libertarian goal of legalization. Once that cats out of the bag it ain't going back in.

Whoopdee****. People who voted Nader in 2000 don't get to claim they are impartial independents.

I'm definitely more conservative. Things I care about most is economics, foreign policy, and individual liberty.

Trump, for all his faults, has been the least disruptive person on my individual rights. He has confiscated less of my money, and he has reduced regulations on business including my own small business. He hasn't started a new war. Hes appointed judges who I believe adhere to the constitution more than his opponents would have. He let's the states run themselves.

Hes also ****ed up royally many times. Hes not cutting spending. Tariffs were a disaster. He hasn't reduced our military footprint. He is erratic which is destabilizing for markets and foreign policy. Hes kissed commies and dictator ass. He also has supported a national shut down which has very obviously restricted my liberty.

I wont be voting for him. I believe hes done less damage than Obama and Bush. I know yall dont agree and that is fine. But I tend to defend him more on this board than I do in real life because the liberal circle jerk in here is constant and often wrong or hypocritical.

If yall could just take off your 'Trump does literally everything wrong' hat, we could have much more constructive conversations. But the hair on fire emotional reactions to everything he says is often just wrong or misguided

Oh yeah. And he ended the locking kids in cages policy his predecessor started.

I think this article is probably right on a number of the points.

I would honestly be shocked if there weren't major media people doing due diligence on this story; not every accusation survives vetting and makes it to press, though. Dunno what the end result will be.

How does this coincide with media giving unlimited air time Michael Avenetti clients who claimed Kavanaugh was part of a gang rape ring?

As you've shared, the allegations are spotty. And I tend to not believe them. But stark, and i mean STARK - difference to how major outlets have handled those cases should concern most of us. Why is there such a massive double standard?

Do you sincerely and honestly believe that the mainstream media has no political bias?

Nsacpi said the allegations alone should dq Kavanaugh. Does he feel the same for Biden?
