I actually think this is bull****. I'm not defending the original pardon, but they are charging him based on the same crime... that's an egregious abuse of prosecutorial discretion; this a terrible precedent.
 
The original charges were by the state. These are federal charges. Not entirely uncommon. Also Bevin said he commuted his sentence because he thinks there is ablavk of evidence, having child pornography kind of changes that. I dont agree with using federal charges as a kind of double jeporday but this is not that.

Just reading the article, it is the same set of facts.

The crimes alleged Tuesday stem from the same 2014 sexual assault. In an earlier case brought by local prosecutors, Jones pleaded guilty to state charges, including sodomy and the distribution of material depicting sexual performance of a minor.

If the Feds did this after a governor pardoned a weed conviction, you would be livid.

The shift with China began in 2010. Obama shifted the focus from Europe to Asia which was a 180 from previous administrations but does he get a thank you? Nope.
