It's OVER 5,000!
Dear Chop Country family, do any of y'all live in NYC? The reason I ask is that my daughter attends college there. We flew her home in March as things were getting bad. So she had to leave most of her things. I'll need to go back up sometime in May to get all her stuff out of her apartment. I'm trying to think through the logistics. If you live there, do you know if the Lincoln Tunnel is open? Anything else I need to know if I'm trying to get to Brooklyn (where her apartment is)?

And if you live anywhere along the route from NC to NYC, do you know if rest area and service center restrooms are generally open? Crazy what we take for granted!

I drove around north of the city last weekend. Rest stops are open there. For you the relevant question is whether they are in NJ. I would guess so. Bridges and tunnels to the city are open. Let me know if I can help in any way. I live just north of the city. Brooklyn is an easy drive these days.

Thanks friend!

I live in New Jersey just outside of NYC...I believe all of the rest stops are open, you just need a face covering to enter them. That’s how it is on the Garden State Pkwy, so I’d imagine it’s the same across the state.
