The Coronavirus, not the beer

There are many kinds of sentences that we think state facts about the world but that are really just expressions of our attitudes.

We are all to some extent guilty of this. But some more so than others.

Curious if the people who believe that we have to open up and let people die because TYRANNY also believe that additional stimulus checks are also TYRANNY? Seems like that is an option allows the folks who can't afford $62 to stay home but also not get a pandemic infection.

It's not just the ability to work but also the ability to live.

I dont support suspension of rights, period.

But we've gone from flatten the curve to... still stay home... to well let's keep staying home. Is there an end in sight to the national house arrest?

Of course the nanny staters beg for it. I'm not telling them they have to leave their homes if they are scared but they are telling me I cant

To be clear, you've pushed so many egregiously wrong things over the Trump era that your condescending smugness of others is laughable.

Those germans ever gonna come through?

Lol

This was an impressive level of not even attempting to answer my question about stimulus checks.

I dont support continuing sending stimulus check as a justification for keeping the economy shut down

Impressive pretzel-logic sentence. It's not a "justification" it is a remedy for a symptom.

You are so so worried about these poor souls not being able to pay their $62, that we should reopen the economy and just let the virus go bonkers and kill the weak. If someone disagrees with you they are a fascist nazi.

BUT no stimulus checks to ameliorate that same problem because you disagree with that policy choice.

Got it.

Where does the end to this logic end? A vaccine?

1. The virus doesnt magically go away bc we are cowering in fear in our homes. It will spread again when we reopen. What is the point of delaying it? The hospital strain is under control which was the entire point (right??)

2. How much debt can the US sustain in this effort?

3. As I've asked before, how much weight do you put on the unintended consequences of physical and mental health by locking people in their homes.

4. At what point do we treat citizens as adults with proper information and understanding of risks?

While Cuomo is shocked that the majority of hospitalizations are coming from people who cowered in their homes, more evidence suggests that being outside is good for us.

And we have governments telling us we cant do that!

Nobody is supporting the lock downs with any data. It's just fear and embarrassment that their previous beliefs have been shown to be embarrassingly wrong.

South Korea is the ideal (though unlikely we have it that easy). Contact Tracing, Massive Testing, eventual vaccine (hopefully). But you have to actually bring down the active transmission rate to manageable scale before this is practical. This has been answered for you like 50 times.

Just admit it: You are willing to let the wave the $62 people around, and say we are nazis for wanting to hurt them. But cutting a check to help those people and possibly saving their grandma's life in the process... well that's just bad policy. Libertarians don't do that.

The parks in NYC are open. This is a pretty stupid criticism of Cuomo. I've been telling you moonbats to go outside for weeks.

How about I'm willing to let Americans make decisions on their own and let people work and commerce as they wish. I'm willing to let businesses wave fees if they wish or require masks if they want. I'm willing to let grandma stay in her home away from people if she wants to. I'm willing to not continuing destroying society and bankrupting future generations of Americans on policy that doesnt even effectively do what its promising to do.

Oh, and I'm not willing to cancel the bill of rights bc you're scared

Lol, so you won't admit it. You would rather let people die or kill their grandma that send them a stimulus check, but even you find that position too embarrassing to type out. Instead there is a non sequitur pivot to shouting about the CONSTITUTION like the dumbest tin foil hatter at a Trump rally.

Which, whatever, but save the sanctimony about how hard it is for the poors. You clearly don't want to help them if it actually conflicts with what you yourself want.

If the government dictates that nobody can work or walk outside without being arrested, then yes send the stimulus check.

I dont think that is the right approach. And yes, I'm aware that people can die if we give people freedom... much like people can die in swimming pools in auto accidents.

No I dont wanna ban those either.

If my two options are:

1. Spend the rest of my life in my house with netflix and a 1200 stimulus check

2. Living my life, take the risk of catching a virus that, if infected, has a less than 1% chance of killing me

I'll take 2.

But dont worry. Your side is winning is this on emotion and fear. We've gone from dont overwhelm the system to anyone who wants to live their life is a selfish grandma murderer.

Predictable
