The Coronavirus, not the beer

Except that's not a fact, that's just an opinion that is not backed up by the majority of the experts. Unless you're a conspiracy guy which we obviously know now that you are.

So, you're telling me we are over counting by more than 60,000 people... that's a story no one could hide, brah...

No...the 20k number wad clearly wrong but we are clearly overstating deaths unless Dr. Brix is part of the conspiracy.

Not sure if sturg can actually be considered a true libertarian... I think he likes to be known as one because its a cool buzzword... makes him different. But its clear he's just really a Trump apologist trying to look like something more hip.

Within any philosophical stream you are going to find diverging views and that's a healthy thing...but I think libertarians generally acknowledge a bigger role for government when large externalities exist...and a pandemic is exactly that kind of situation

Nope, but she's just another expert with an opinion. I give her opinion weight too. But its still just an opinion. I can acknowledge that and acknowledge it may be the correct opinion in the end. But you cannot acknowledge that any opinion other than your own can be correct. But thank you for finally admitting you were "clearly wrong."

Actually thoughtful libertarians have an entirely different take on this. I linked a piece published in Reason a while back demonstrating this.

I support recommendations, data reporting, and best practices.

I dont support mandating people from the barrell of a gun.

Majority of Americans can manage themselves through this better than our central planners who are wrong almost always.

Its not an opinion that we have been aggressively tagging CCP virus deaths.

We've known about this for months and she was actually one of the first to raise the alarm

central planners gave you the nursing home crisis but we should definitely listen to them.

And when you count all the ones we've missed, it probably equals out in the end.... like the vast majority of experts are saying.

No matter how you look at it, though... you still said this wouldn't even kill 20k... and it is beyond clear that it has killed well over 20k

Hey Meta.

Easier to pretend you're ignoring me for other reasons aside from you being embarrassingly wrong on our arguments.

Its OK. I'm sure when you are a real lawyer you'll be able to outwit a lowly accountant.

The democrats are the one that have truly bungled this crisis. The price to pay will be election day 2020.

The dems and the left are incompetent and don't deserve any public offices.

MADRID — Spain’s health ministry said 5 percent of the country’s population has been exposed to covid-19, according to preliminary results from one of the world’s largest studies into the true dimension of the coronavirus pandemic.

The greatest variable in the incidence in the population was geography, with confirmed exposure in Madrid (11.3 percent), Soria (14.2 percent) and Barcelona (7.1 percent) significantly higher than other provinces such as Asturias and the Canary Islands, both at less than 2 percent.

The figures are far below what experts consider the minimum 60-80 percent exposure to create herd immunity.

The findings also showed no significant difference between men and women, nor according to age group. A fourth of those tested (26 percent) were asymptomatic.

The study tested 60,000 people for sero prevalence in the first wave of the long-term research designed by the Carlos III Institute, using a fast immunocromatography test, followed by a complete Elisa blood test. The combination will allow researchers to calculate the percentage of the population that has had contact with the virus and to detect potential active infections.
