The Trump Presidency

a little history

blacks were mostly Republicans from the Civil War to the 1930s...they turned against Hoover and the Republicans because of ineffectiveness dealing with the Depression...but they didn't become overwhelmingly Democratic until 1964 (LBJ vs Goldwater)...LBJ famously said that "we have lost the South for a generation" after he signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act...and they have indeed lost the South...actually for more than one generation...I think black voters are open to voting for either party...the thing that has kept them loyal Democrats is the Southern Strategy pursued by the GOP...this Southern Strategy is a fusion of ideas that appeal to cultural conservatism and white racial grievance...the cultural conservatism is actually a potential selling point to many black voters...but they refuse to overlook the second part and I can't say I blame them

Not completely.

I mean there were Southern Democrats like Clinton. Georgia previously sent a few (D) senators to Congress.

I mean when Obama got into office, he had (D) senators in Ark, Lousiana, North Carolina.

Southerners used to be economically liberal after the Depression. Even the racist ones were economically liberal. That was because of FDR.

His presidency is a complete and utter failure

When they nominate a southerner (Carter, Clinton) or it's an extremely bad year for the GOP (2008) they are competitive in some Southern states.

Asked a senior White House official their views on Trump dealing with the current moment.

The response was simple, but telling: "He's not handling anything, just typing a bunch of **** on Twitter."

Specifically what would you like him to do?

you are too young to know about the Chicago 7

To my mind , with no legal basis, it seems Trump is complicit in inciting riots
Merely spouting off 2nd Amendment solutions or as recently as 2 weeks ago suggesting militias "liberate" Virginia and Michigan.
I am sure when the dust settles over this week we will hear how he inspired Proud boys and other extremist groups to "get involved "

Back to the Chicago 7, they tried them on flimsier grounds
////

Besides , it is apparent by his actions there is tax evasions that would equal the GNP of a 3rd world country

Lets not forget he is Individual-1

Let's not forget the unresolved 25 accusations

Lets not forget the fact he is making money hand over fist funneling US Government business to his properties

And let's not forget had it not be for Wm Barr, he would have to answer for Russia
That is not over
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

For what crime indeed

The guy who cried tyranny for skateboarding silent about actual tyranny now

I’m shocked

It is my my preference that local government's protect their citizen's property and rights.

They are failing to do that.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. You can't let every major city in the country burn forever. Violent bad actors need to be stopped.

Freedom boy doesn't believe you should just sit and watch while your rights get trampled.
