Albany Ga cases have steadily declined since we reopened
108k deaths and counting in the states, nearly 400k worldwide. There is also some compelling stats regarding elevated deaths (over previous years) pointing to it potentially being more than that. I sure hope I'm wrong, but a mixture of so many elements make it seem like we are heading toward a rough fall/winter. If you still have a job, make sure you take some time to figure out things you can do at home in case you need to make a case for keeping said job in the near future. I know many of you have probably already covered that, but just in case.

If the excess mortality theory was so compelling an easy audit could take place to prove it. The fact its not being done to **** up peoplr like me who think this was overblown should tell you a lot.
It really should. Like shutting people like you up is not a priority right now. Also, we've all seen that adding facts and research and audits, etc, in this situation and many many others in the past, rarely if ever shut people like you up. When have you, for example, ever shown that providing you with facts/evidence/whatever works to change your mind when you're wrong? Or even shuts you up?
Do you think these protesters are selfish and literally killing people?
When I'm proven wrong about this topic I will. So far my sentiment has been more accurate than anyone else's but continue to duscuss abstracts as if that supports the position you support.
You really haven't been more accurate. lol You are basically proving my point. There are several key factors about this situation that proves your early opinions way off base, and yet you refuse to acknowledge them and/or your previous opinions for what they are. And you won't. You don't seem to be capable of it. That's the difference between accepting something as fact and belief. I accept a ton of stuff as facts. I believe nothing. Makes it a lot easier to change your opinion when you're blatantly wrong about something.

bravo
so now people who don't want to follow instructions on social distancing and masks can say hey the mayor of Sacramento is a hypocrite and I'm gonna go do my thing
Sounds like you're OK with 10s of thousands of people congregating during a pandemic (I am too by the way)
2 weeks ago, dozens of people congregating meant "human sacrifices" and "selfishly killing our neighbors"
It's not an easy situation. We are not in lockdown now. The protesters are also protesting a literal murder, while the other protesters were protesting wearing masks and having to stay at home. They were also treated EXTREMELY different by the police. Again...I don't think you're an idiot. You can see these are different situations that challenge principles in different ways.
Of course they are different situations.
But the risk between them are the same, right?
Why was one condone as dangerous and murderous... and the other is celebrated?
If the scary virus is going to spread, the damage being done here is catastrophic

So what should I believe? If the mass hysteria about COVID is true then these rioters and protesters will likely kill more Americans than cops have in the last decade.
