The nursing homes stand out as something that Sweden (and others) could have done much better. Sweden has also made little effort to identify and contain clusters. This made sense if they were going for herd immunity. No sign they are reconsidering this. I think there has been a bit of a push for more testing, tracing and containment from some Swedes who disagree with the current approach.

"If we were to encounter the same disease again, knowing precisely what we know about it today, I think we would settle on doing something in between what Sweden did and what the rest of the world has done,” said Tegnell.

I think there is still a case to be made about doing a mid-course correction to do more testing and containment. Apparently, schools in Sweden are not even notifying parents if others at the school are testing positive. They don't want to cause alarm. But they notify with respect to flu.

Jews were threatened in NY when they wanted to mourn for their lost. Death has a very special process in the Jewish religon. For some reason this is more important than that.
