You still just don't get it. Your whole rationale for evaulation of a player is their stats. The Thunder don't need all their guys to fill up a stat sheet. They have studs doing the heavy lifting. I would not move Collison for any of those guys. He is needed on this team. The pieces fit well with this team. I would not upset that.

LOL, ok, we will take out wings and PG's...even though we should consider them. I'll look at just big men....

Taj Gibson

Boris Diaw

Luis Scola

Omir Asik

Brandan Wright

Andray Blatche

Both Morris twins

Miles Plumlee

John Henson

Kosta Koufos

Jon Leuer

Andrew Nicholson

J.J. Hickson

Timofey Mozgov

Jeremy Evans

All better bigs off the bench than Collison

I'd take some of those for Collison, not that it would happen.

You will never get it. A basketball team is the not sum of its parts. That is why you have always overrated Melo.

Ok, well you haven't won a ring....so give me the more talented player, k?

Did Miami win because of Chris Anderson or LeBron is better than everyone else?

IF the Thunder win, is it because of Nick Collison or KD?

If the Thunder win its because of every single player on that roster that gets playing time. Just like it was with Miami last yaer. At some point you will understand this.

I never said that Collison has the same value to the Thunder as KD/RW does. But he does in facdt have value and they win games as a team and lose games as a team. You will never hear a successful organization diminish the contributions of guys like Collison.

It wont happen but if OKC could get one of those guys for Collison, you do it.

The Thunder would absolutely not trade Collison for any realistic trade scenario. He is so much more valuable to the Thunder than any other team. He is the veteran leadership for the second unit and is a great tutor for Adams.

Why do the superstars win rings, if it's about having 12 guys for "the team"?

Again, I never said Collison has as much of an impact as Durant. But every guy in the playoff rotation plays a role in winning. You don't think Jordan needed guys like Armstrong/Paxton/Wennington/etc...? This is a TEAM GAME.

He's 35 years old, if they could get one of those younger players, you do it in a heartbeat.

No question about it.

Thunder do not need any more lead dogs. Its not necessary. The things taht Collison provides fit what the team needs. There is only one basketball on the floor at all times.

So MJ wouldn't have won if he didn't have those 3? You're being serious?

Obviously you need 5 guys on the court. However, there are dozens of players that could fill the roll of those guys as they simply benefit from playing with Jordan.

I like Collison, but he is what he is. A backup big that has his uses. You think the Thunder would be significantly different if they had Arthur, Robinson, Hansborough, KG (chuckles), Patterson, Jones, McRoberts or any other backup big man with any bit of skill?

They would be an 8 seed

He may not have won all of his rings if his secondary players weren't as good. We don't know but those guys played key roles on those teams.

There would not be a significant difference but Collison fits this team perfectly. I would rather have Collison than all those guys.
