The Coronavirus, not the beer

Let the gaslighting begin

[Tw]1275923518551584768[/tw]

i really don't think you know what gas lighting means now that you used it that way

but i'm glad the protesting 4 days after memorial day is your starting point

the point of the outdoor protests and people that wear masks

not the memorial day weekend where a **** ton of people who think this is all fake took vacations and isn't mentioned at all by you or the tweet

we already covered the protesting angle on the spread

So which has contributed more to the recent spread of COVID-19 in the United States: LW behavior under the banner of Wokeness/BLM or RW behavior under the banner of Folk Libertarianism. Or will the purists claim blamelessness for their side.

I'm not sure which is more, but I think both are big contributors, along with a lack of credible leadership at all levels, an erosion of trust between the populace and the media, and general fatigue with lockdowns (we've never really been known for our patience).

yeah...many factors behind what has been a shambolic response...personally living in NY I'm thinking it is only a matter of time before the infections around the country seep back here....it is just a matter of time

People seeking drive-up coronavirus tests in Phoenix faced a three-mile-long car line last weekend. On Friday, Arizona’s largest laboratory received twice as many samples as it could process. The phone line for testing appointments at a large site on the state fairgrounds now opens at 7 a.m. with 800 callers already in the queue.

By 7:07 a.m., all 1,000 appointments for the day are typically taken.

“We are literally overwhelmed with the numbers requested,” said Dr. Marjorie Bessel, chief clinical officer at Banner Health, the hospital system that runs the fairground site. “The testing is very popular, and very needed, but we don’t have enough of it.”

The United States’ coronavirus testing capacity has begun to strain as the pandemic continues to spread, with over 35,000 cases recorded Tuesday. Across the country, more than a dozen public laboratories say they are now “challenged” to meet the demand.

The problem has become especially acute in Arizona, where the rapid spread of the virus has left health care providers and medical labs no longer able to meet testing demands.

kinda shocking that issues having to do with testing capacity and logistics are still cropping up

Cuomo is a joke

Hooray for putting up numbers without context. NY Metro is one of the most, if not the most dense, metro area in America. The president, mayor and Governor did nothing to protect NY because they didn't take the virus serious. States with spiking cases now, have had the evidence out there. They got to see the tragedy that happened in New York.

I think there's plenty of blame to go around. Unfortunately, our tribes never like to admit culpability.

the worst culprit IMO is De Blasio. He royally ****ed this up. He should have shut down public transportation for non-essential workers the second a whiff of this came out. the reason New York got kicked in the teeth is public transportation.

After visiting the city, I can why that was a hard decision. There are a ton of people using the subway. Obviously he should've done it faster though.
